Privacy policy
Draft for review before launch.
Enjoy TV is provided by Sucker Punch AB. For privacy questions, contact info@suckerpunch.se.
Enjoy TV connects to a TV you select on your local network. With your approval on the TV, it reads technical information such as manufacturer, model, Android version, firmware, current Home application and Enjoy TV installation status. These details are used to check the connection and assess compatibility. They are processed on your phone and are not automatically sent to Sucker Punch AB.
After a successful installation, you can choose to share a technical TV report to help other users. The sharing checkbox is initially selected. The final button explicitly says that it shares the report; untick the checkbox to finish without sharing. A shared report contains manufacturer, system model, Android version, firmware and Enjoy TV version. Valid reports are published automatically without prior manual review. Sucker Punch AB can hide incorrect or abusive reports. Only manufacturer, model and Android version appear in the public directory, grouped by manufacturer. No serial number, network name, app list, debugging key, purchase token or persistent phone identifier is included. If that model and Android version is already reported, the app checks its status but does not submit another report. Emulator results are not submitted. Community reports are user feedback, not independent certification.
The report service processes connection IP addresses for temporary abuse prevention. Raw IPs are not stored in the compatibility database; keyed rate-limit counters expire after one hour. Your hosting connection can also appear in the web host's access logs. Technical reports are retained for maintaining the compatibility directory until removed by Sucker Punch AB. Contact info@suckerpunch.se with questions or removal requests. The directory does not include a persistent identifier linking a report to your phone.
Your phone stores its own TV debugging authorization key using Android's secure storage. This lets the TV recognise your phone on later connections. Only approve phones you trust. Classic network ADB is not an encrypted transport; use a trusted private network and turn TV debugging off when it is not needed. Removing this phone's authorization in the TV's developer settings prevents future access with that key.
Where activation purchases are available, Google Play processes the payment under Google's terms and privacy policy. Enjoy TV can receive product and purchase-status information, including a purchase token, to verify and restore activation. Enjoy TV does not receive your payment card number. The internal preview does not offer purchases or installation on physical TVs.
Enjoy TV does not require an Enjoy TV account and includes no advertising or developer-operated analytics service. If you contact support, the information you choose to send is used to handle your request. Avoid sending passwords, debugging keys or payment details. Contact info@suckerpunch.se about deletion of information you have sent to support. Clearing the phone app's data removes its local information; it does not itself remove a launcher from your TV or erase Google's purchase records. Google manages its own transaction records and privacy controls separately.
After setup, the app may ask whether you would like to rate Enjoy TV on Google Play. This is optional and independent of TV reporting. The app remembers locally whether it has offered this prompt for the current version; it does not receive your review text or star rating.
